Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

 

Q) Since every card is handmade are they going to be too expensive for my budget?

A) I understand that in today’s economy, everyone is on a budget and with this in mind I use a blend of stock and specialty items to create all of our custom invitations. In doing so I can craft the invitations you want and accommodate most budgets quite easily. As an example I offer a simple 3 layer design for as little as $3, as you increase the complexity of your design the costs will go up from here.

Q) So your prices start at $3, where do they go from here?

A) That’s right my base price per invitation starts at $3 for a basic 3 layer invitation, the more embellishments such as extra layers of color, embossing, the addition of ribbons or gems to the cards will add to the price. I will work with you to create the invitation you want and do my best to keep the cost within your budget.

Q) How long will it take for you to design and create my invitations?

A) Since each of my designs is crafted to your individual requirements and made completely by hand one invitation at a time the process can be relatively time intensive.  The more complex your design the longer each invitation will take to make. Bearing this in mind and depending on the number of invitations you need my turnaround time ranges from 2 to 6 weeks on most orders. However to ensure that you have enough lead time to ensure that your guests can RSVP in time for your event I recommend placing your order 4 to 6 months ahead of the event.

Q) Can you handle short notice orders?

A)  While I prefer to have plenty of lead time on an order, I will be more than willing to work with you as long as I can fit your order into our schedule.  Feel free to contact us so that I can discuss your needs.

Q) Is it possible for me to see a sample before I order?

A) I understand that while a picture is a great way to get an idea of what your invitations are going to look like, there is nothing quite like seeing the finished product.  As such I will be happy to send you one free sample of the finished invitation for your approval before I begin production to ensure that it matches what you are looking for. 

Q) Do you charge extra for custom orders?

A) Absolutely not Bee’s Cards specializes in creating custom invitations and cards to order. Your project will be completed to the specifications you submit and you will be given a price before I start so that you know exactly what you are going to be paying in advance.

Q) Do you have minimum order quantity requirements?

A) All of the items at Bee’s Cards are handmade and as such you will find that very few of them have a very high minimum order quantity. For example most wedding and Bar Mitzvah orders start at 25 unless they require an unusual cut or the use of special printing techniques.

 Q) What is your cancellation policy?

A) All of the custom cards made by Bee’s Cards s are handmade originals and as such you may cancel your order only if I have not already ordered the supplies and begun production. Once this point has been reached I am unable to cancel your order and issue you a refund. However, I would like to point out that all of our customers have been so delighted with their cards that I have yet to experience my first request for a refund.
